What we collect on the waitlist

When you join the waitlist we store your email address, your first name if you give it, whether you use an iPhone or Android, the price shown to you, the time you signed up, the country your visit came from, and, if present, the campaign tags in the link you came from (for example which of our posts brought you here). We also store when we sent you the confirmation email and when you confirmed it.

Why

Only to keep your place on the waitlist and to email you about Marla’s launch. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). After you sign up we send you one email to confirm it’s really you (double opt-in); until you confirm, we send nothing else. You can withdraw your consent at any time by replying to any of our emails or writing to the address above. We don’t sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising profiles.

Who helps us

The website runs on Vercel Inc. (USA). The waitlist is stored with Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany. Our emails are sent and received through Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) from its EU region in Ireland. All three act as processors under data processing agreements. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which works without cookies and without identifying you personally.

If you write to us

Emails to hello@meetmarla.app reach us through Resend. We use them only to answer you and delete them when they’re no longer needed for that.

How long

Until Marla launches and you have received our launch emails, or until you ask us to delete your data, whichever comes first.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and take it with you. You can also complain to a data protection authority. The one responsible for us is the Thuringian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (TLfDI) in Erfurt.
